From Function to Fitness :: Getting Your Groove Back

This past weekend at the 2nd ecoChic swap was a wonderful success!  Thanks to the amazing volunteers who helped everything run smoothly [Hailey, Angela, Carrie, Yvonne, Heather, Leigh Ann, Benja, Lauren & Fiona].  We brought in over 90 women, over 1,000 items and raised over $600! 

Speaking of which, if you know of a woman who has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, who lives in the Nashville TN area, who could use some financial help purchasing a wig, please let me know.  We need to find two recipients to share the $600 that was raised at the event.  And don't forget to get on our mailing list for the next swap... the Vintage Only ecoChic swap in September! 

I had so much fun & I have never been so inspired to clean out my closet and I have already been pulling great vintage items that I just won't wear.

The score of the day... well, according to Fiona, it was the George, Gina & Lucy patent leather bag that she swapped from Ulli- something that had been sitting in her closet for over 2 years and will now be featured on Fiona's arm!

Saying that I am becoming really excited about the upcoming ecoChic Swap this weekend is a serious understatement.  Now, I do realize that a large part of my excitement is quite simply because I have not purchased ANY new clothing since 2008 <sigh> and I am going on 5 months of some serious new clothing, store browsing withdrawal! Do you know how hard it is to walk through a store and not be able to touch?  I feel like I am 5 and in a glass figurine store!

Anyway, getting ready for the this 2nd ecoChic swap is even more fun than getting ready for the first one, especially because we have a gorgeous new studio to showcase the event in!  Not to mention, my experience with the last swap definitely prepared me for how to do things differently this time.  I have an amazing team of supportive women to assist and we are ready to fun this like a fine-oiled machine!

We have had over 30 people pre-register already and we extended the number of items to 15 so we are going to have tons of great stuff!  I am amazed and thankful for all the friends who have stepped up offering to volunteer or to provide a door prize for the cause.  You should definitely check out our sponsors page and see what is being given away... and YOU can win up to TWO times and we have over $1,300 worth of stuff to give away!  Woo Hoo!
